A Word From Ben

One day while I was reading the word, God led me upon 1 timothy 4:11-15 which says, "Command and teach these things. Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress."

God has used the generation before us to anoint us. That generation has passionately been praying that God would arise a generation to stand for Christ, and the current generation wants to do just that!! We want to spill our hearts out on these cities, and hope that through our witness, testimony, and sharing, God will plant a seed in someone's heart, and cause the seed to grow to a follower of Chris, and everyday on, strive to live for God until the day he comes back.

I believe the youth will have a large part of being the hands and feet of God, then and now. I love verse 14 and 15 where it says not to NEGLECT your gift..... my gift. I believe God has given all of us the gift of passion to see America return to God and to realize its need for a living savior. And we will be diligent in furthering this ministry, and seeing Christ move in it.

Then in verse 15 it says, "Give yourself wholly to them [the cities, people, churches] so that EVERYONE may see your progress." With this ministry, and saving lives, without a doubt we will see progress. We will take the first steps in faith, and believe that God will use us in your town, but the rest is up to the people of the city, those who will harvest the labor in their own mission field.

Timothy at the time Paul was writing to him, was young himself. And much of the time Timothy worked with those who were much wiser. I also believe that God is raising youth to take a stand along with pastors, and church leaders, to be under them and learn from them, and to be discipled by them. But also to teach alongside with them. Our generation has been corrupted and brought up by ungodly parents. We have been taught to believe that what we see is what we get, and so easily we rely on the things that are current and temporary, like drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, and partying.

But there's good news, it's that many our age, are finally seeing that Christ can take all our past away, and give us a hope and future. With the youth growing a passion for Jesus, it pushes us to stand beside the pastors and elders in humbleness and trust, to work together to see people won to Jesus Christ. I have been on missions trip where I see young people, as young as 12 years old, leading those who are much more older in the prayer of salvation, they may not know every word of the Bible or have a doctorate, but what they do have is the Holy Spirit seeing their hunger, passion, and burden, and then by his grace putting them into situations where God can use them to shine his light. There is nothing more beautiful to see, then a 12 year old and a 55 year old kneeling down, and praying a prayer of Salvation together, and that Pastors is what I hope you can see. This culture is turning the tide, they see the need for a savior, and wish that all of there friends will see the same thing. So we ask that pastors never despise there youth, for many want to go deeper into ministry, and without your help, they cannot accomplish that move.
