You may have stumbled on this website because you found something at your door, it was handed to you on the street, or maybe one of your friends thought that you would enjoy the literature. Well I am here to tell you that we believe nothing happens by chance. I believe things like these, God brings about, and we call them divine appointments. I think it was not by chance that you stumbled here but rather, God is tugging to get ahold of your attention because there is something very important that he needs to talk to you about. For these past few years, we have seen some pretty crazy things in this world happen. From Hurricanes, to natural disasters, to terrorism, to our struggling economy.
Some people ask why this is happening? And honestly, very few people can say. I for one don't really know myself, but I would never blame God for these things, because God is not a God of evil or a God of Disaster, but rather He is a God of unconditional Love. The Bible says that God sent his Son Jesus, His one and only Son, to this earth, to live as a human and to have a perfect life. God didn't send Jesus here to hurt us, disturb us, or to even just teach us how a good person should live their life. The reason he came here was to save us! Save us from what? Well the Bible says " For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God." (Romans 3:23). This means that none of us are perfect. Some people may say that they are fine or they have never committed a "sin" but everyone in their lifetime has thought of something they shouldn't have, said something they regret, or denied the true and only one who loves them.
Because we have been given our own free will, we have messed it up according to God's standard. And his standard is this, "For the wages of Sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through his Son Jesus." None of us deserve eternal life, because we have fallen short and God cannot be around sin. But just because we have, does not mean that He won't give us the time of day to hear our cry. We deserve by our own free will to be set apart from God, but he does not wish any of us go to Hell, and I would never judge anyone by straight up telling them they would go to Hell, because that is not for me to judge. But I will say without Christ we all live incomplete, where something just doesn't feel right. Jesus said that, "I [Jesus] am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the father except through me." (John 14:6) There is only one way to heaven and one way to God, and that is Jesus. In today's culture we are taught that there are so many ways to God and Heaven, but it is not true, all they are doing is trying to put your hope in earthly things, where no comfort can be found.
So it comes to this, Jesus is saying, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him." (Rev. 3:20 KJV) All you have to do is let him in, your not admitting that you're going to be perfect, but you are saying that you want to give Jesus an opportunity to help, and in these hard times, you want someone that you can lean on and who can help you. It just takes a second. Please don't hold this off. The Bible also says that today is the day of Salvation. We can't put this off, because we never know what could happen tomorrow. Here is a little prayer that you can say to God right now and right here. "Dear Lord, Being convinced that I am a sinner, in need of a savior, I ask that you come into my life. Forgive me of my sin, and help me to begin on a right path with you. Please help me make you number one in my life. In Jesus Name. Amen."
That is so awesome! Now continue reading that literature that was given to you, and get into a good Bible believing church, because it's awesome to have fellowship with other Christians, so you can continue to grow in Christ. Read your Bible and pray everyday, so that God can speak to you, because He will, you just have to take some time and listen.
