The city is a place with many cultures, religions, viewpoints, and lifestyles. In the hustle and bustle of life, its hard to find time to reach those around us. But all it takes from us, is having the will to be used, and just DOING IT. Living in an urban setting, opens the door for us to grow in experience on how to relate to those different from us. While in the city, we want to grow in our knowledge of how others live and think. If we cannot relate to people, how will we every reach them? So while finishing our journey and preparing for our future, we want to take the time to step out, and experience how God can move through us into the countless others around us.
P4A members have been in prayer, for where God wants to lead them in the city during this chapter of their lives. They are working with students from North Central University and others across the Twin Cities, in setting up an active, effective, and realistic outreach to the inner city. Through service projects, food and beverage serving, and outreach type styles of Evangelism. P4A does not have a large team, therefore it relies on the volunteers it comes into contact with, so they can unite the body and actively coordinate outreach in the city and urban centers.
Like on our team page, P4A was created to express Passion for Evangelism in our country. Many times those who work under the umbrella of P4A or its team, do so once. We are open to all who choose to help us further national evangelism. Our work, lifestyle, and evangelism are our priorities, rather than pushing our name out in the world for fame or pride, which God does not tolerate.
Many times when ministries and outreach groups go through our nation, we leave out small towns. We think large numbers. How can we get the most people? What is a fancy city where we can have our event at. While nothing is wrong with this thinking, we cannot leave out those who live in small towns. Actually, over the last century this has left negative aspects of Christianity. With the lack of outreach with the Gospel many christians become only nominal Christians, meaning "In name only". Sometimes they get so caught up in the religion and rituals of the church, they forget about the moment they had a real encounter with the living God, which caused them to place their trust in Him. We want to bring the relationship back and alive more than ever. We want to see the church moving with the Holy Spirit, and not acting on something that worked long ago. Some things in the Bible never get old and we understand that. But God loves us so much, that He constantly has something new and life changing for us.
Friendships are key to seeing people come to know Christ. It's hard to just come, do a big event and then leave, Instead, we'd rather build a common ground and see what direction God will move it. We strongly believe in good follow-up and discipleship, for we cannot just leave people alone after they accepted Christ, and not expect them to go back into their old way of living. We want to help nurture them, and answer questions they may have.
Even after we leave, we would love to hear what God is continuing to do even after the first seeds have been planted!! Evangelism and traveling are some of the best things to do, and we enjoy doing it. I hope you see our happiness as we come, and catch the same joy for it as we d!!
